Special subsidy programme for public health institutions aimed at hiring 1.300 unemployed people aged 55+

OBJECTIVE

The programme aims to create 1.300 new, full-time jobs in public health institutions for unemployed people aged 55+ who have completed their employment period under the special subsidy programme provided for in the Joint Ministerial Decision no. 28286/450/20-06-2017 (Β΄2307) as it stands since 30/09/2023, and who have been employed through the same programme in bodies of the Ministry of Health.

The subsidy amount is set at 75% of the monthly expenditure of wage and non-wage costs for every beneficiary up to a maximum of 750 euros and the subsidy period is twenty-four (24) months.

ELIGIBLE BUSINESSES

Eligible businesses are bodies of the Ministry of Health that have already participated in the "Employment subsidy programme aimed at hiring unemployed people aged 55+ in (a) all kinds of Legal Entities of Public Law and decentralised services of Central Administration bodies, (b) enterprises, bodies and organisations of the public sector as it was redefined under article 51, Law 1892/1990 (Α’ 101), regularly engaging in economic activity and c) municipal/regional authority enterprises under Law 3852/2010 (Α’ 87), regularly engaging in economic activity" [our refer. no. 28286/450/20-06-2017 (Β’ 2307) Joint Ministerial Decision as applicable].
