Board of Directors

The Greek Public Employment Service (DYPA) is a Legal Entity under Public Law and is under the supervision of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. The administrative bodies of DYPA are the Governor and Deputy Governors, the Board of Directors and the Council of Social Partners. 

The Governor or the Deputy Governor who replaces him, exercises all the powers of the President of the Board of Directors and proposes the issues of the agenda.

The members of the Board of Directors are appointed for a term corresponding to that of the Governor and Deputy Governors.

The Board of Directors has the following powers: a) specializes, together with the Governor, the government policies related to the purposes of DYPA, b) submits a proposal for the preparation and amendment of the Organization of DYPA to the supervising Ministry, c) approves and amends the budget of DYPA, d) decides on the exercise remedies and means, f) manages the movable and immovable property of DYPA, e) decides on the execution of projects, the supply of products and services, f) decides on the purchase and lease of real estate and movable things, g) manages the resources from the Accounts of DYPA, except those that belong to the competence of the Council of Social Partners h) takes care of the finalization of the pending cases of the abolished Organizations of Workers' Housing (OEK) and Workers' Homes (OEE), i) decides on matters referred to it by the Governor or the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs.

The Board of Directors of DYPA is eleven members and consists of: 

a) the Governor of DYPA as President, b) the Deputy Governor of DYPA designated as the 1st deputy of the Governor, c) a person with special knowledge or experience in the matters of DYPA's competences, who is appointed, together with his deputy, by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, d) by a person with special knowledge or experience in the matters of DYPA's competences, who is appointed, together with his deputy, following the proposal of the Minister of Finance, e) by a person with special knowledge or experience in the issues of DYPA's competences, who is designated, together with his deputy, following the proposal of the Minister of Development and Investments, f ) by a person with special knowledge or experience in the issues of DYPA's competences, who is appointed, together with his deputy, following a proposal by the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, g) by two representatives of the employers with their deputies, h) by two representatives of the employees with their deputies, i) by a representative of the employees of D.YPA.A. with his deputy.
