Skills & Talents for Businesses Event
The event attempts to highlight the significance of skills and upskilling for European citizens and businesses, focal points of the European Year of Skills.
It also aims to enable the exchange of views in finding solutions that meet the needs of European citizens for good quality jobs and also the needs of businesses for employees with skills and knowledge corresponding to the requirements of the jobs of today and tomorrow.
The event was attended by European Commission Vice President for Promoting our European Way of Life, Margaritis Schinas, Greek Minster of Labour and Social Insurance, Adonis Georgiadis, DYPA Governor and National Skills Strategy Board, Spiros Protopsaltis, as well as representatives of SBE and SEVE, a fact that reflects the major importance of the goals set by the EU in the matter of addressing the skills mismatch in the labour market in Greece and Europe.
Furthermore, the event stresses the importance of innovation in the field of vocational education in order to achieve better performance in matching skills to the labour market.
