Modernisation of the DYPA Vocational Education and Training System in Greece
On Monday, October 16, a final working meeting took place in which the results of DYPA's cooperation with the World Bank and the European Commission's Directorate General for Structural Reform Support were presented.
The project “Modernisation of DYPA Vocational Education and Training System in Greece” pertains to the cooperation aiming to upgrade the quality of the offered vocational education in the DYPA Apprenticeship Vocational Schools (EPAS), lasted for two years and had a total budget of 300.000€ funded by the EU. As part of the project modern methods and management tools were introduced which had as an end goal to ensure the interconnection of the fields of study/ specialties provided by the DYPA EPAS with the needs of the labour market.
The event was attended by the Minister of Labour and Social Security, Adonis Georgiadis, DYPA Governor and National Skills Coordinator, Spiros Protopsaltis, World Bank’s Program Manager for Southern Europe, Goran Tinjic, the Head of Athens Office of the Directorate-General for Structural Reform Support (DG REFORM) of the European Union, Ioannis Hadjiyiannis, and DYPA Deputy Governor, Gianna Hormova.
