DYPA’s "Career Days" are back in Thessaloniki 120 businesses with over 3.000 jobs Free Counselling Workshops
The Greek Public Employment Service (DYPA) organises "Career Days" in Thessaloniki for the sixth time. The event will take place on Monday and Tuesday, September 9th and 10th 2024, at The Met hotel (48th, 26th October Str.), from 10:00 till 18:00.
120 companies from all sectors of the economy have already registered for the event, offering more than 3.000 jobs for all levels of education and specialisation.
During the two-days event, interested parties will have the opportunity to directly contact business representatives looking for staff, without a prior appointment, to learn about the skills with the highest demand and to take part in Counselling workshops.

The participating businesses belong to various sectors of the economy. For instance: industries (food and beverages, clothing, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, paints, minerals, construction materials, vehicle and lift manufacturing, furniture, packaging, metal construction, etc.), wholesale and retail trade (food, clothing and footwear, scientific equipment, household goods, spare parts and accessories, electricity, natural gas, etc.), construction and engineering, telecommunications, renewable energy, services (counselling, medical, printing), digital economy and information society, publishing, tourism, catering and entertainment, research centres and non-profit charities.
Businesses usually are seeking for the following occupations/ specialties: Electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, electronic automation engineers, chemical engineers, food technologists, chemists, quality control executives, machine operators, engineers and tube fitters, welders, design and production engineers, control centre operators, station and line managers (metro), transport safety officers, civil engineers, technicians of all trades, sales advisers, warehouse clerks, drivers, cashiers, production workers. Furthermore, occupations/ specialties across the whole spectrum of tourism, accountants, administrators, early childhood educators, childcare workers, biologists, nurses, midwives, medical device and machine operators, clothing designers, graphic designers, typographers, printers, decorators, project managers, marketing executives and occupations/ specialities relating to the information society (web & software developers & engineers, cyber security, IT database administrators, computer and information systems engineers with knowledge of programming languages, etc.)
On the second event day participants will have the opportunity to take part in free counselling workshops, in subject areas such as: how to create a CV, how to prepare for an interview, the steps to a successful business idea and the contribution of social media in the job search.
Participation in the activities and the workshops is free upon on-site registration and priority order will be strictly observed.
