DYPA implements innovative measures to support those faced with significant labour-market integration barriers
The annual Stakeholder Conference of the European Network of Public Employment Services (PES Network) was held yesterday in Brussels, hosting discussions on “Rethinking support for those furthest from the labour market”. DYPA Governor Spiros Protopsaltis attended the event.
DYPA’s active involvement was also marked by DYPA Deputy Governor Yanna Hormova’s participation in a conference workshop, where she updated the PES network members on DYPA’s innovative interventions and strategic development, which have supported thousands of citizens through employment programmes, skilling and upskilling measures, career guidance services, as well as certifications that have bolstered their CVs and opened up new career paths for them.
The Deputy Governor’s presentation highlighted DYPA's RRF-funded flagship training programmes, through which 500,000 citizens will have been upskilled – particularly in digital and green skills – by the end of 2025.
Yanna Hormova also discussed DYPA’s collaborations with global ICT leaders and Greek universities, specialised programmes for vulnerable social groups, the new office for Vulnerable Social Groups (GEKO), and DYPA’s contribution to Vocational Education and Training (VET), a field of key importance across Europe.
Her presentation also showcased DYPA’s overall innovative policy approach, which keeps pace with rapid technological advancements and adapts its measures to address their growing impact on the labour market landscape. Looking ahead, DYPA aims to implement even more targeted measures and expand its collaborations and partnerships, focusing on effective employment support, particularly for vulnerable groups and those furthest from the labour market.
