Business initiative subsidy programme for 3,220 young entrepreneurs aged 30 – 45 in the Least Developed Regions (LAP) and in the Region of Western Macedonia with particular emphasis on the digital economy

OBJECTIVE

To support new businesses established since 01/01/2022 by former unemployed persons aged 30 - 45 in the Least Developed Regions (LAP) and in the Region of Western Macedonia. Emphasis will be placed in businesses active in sectors of the digital economy.

BENEFICIARIES

New liberal professionals/ entrepreneurs aged 30 – 45 (unemployed persons registered with DYPA who also have drafted an Individual Action Plan [IAP] before starting their new business) who:

  • Have founded their new business from 01/01/2022 onwards.
  • Are Greek citizens or citizens of another EU member state or expatriates with the right to stay and work in Greece or third country citizens with a valid residence permit for at least the duration of the programme.
  • Have completed their military service or have been legally discharged (for male applicants).
  • Have established their businesses within the eligible Administrative Regions (Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Central Macedonia, Epirus, Thessaly, Western Greece and Western Macedonia).

DURATION AND SUBSIDY AMOUNTS

The subsidy lasts 12 months and the support for new businesses amounts to 14.800 Euros and is paid in three installments as follows:

  • 1st instalment amounting to 4.000 Euros, following the approval of the funding application
  • 2nd installment amounting to 5.400 Euros after the end of the 1st semester from the start date
  • 3rd installment amounting to 5.400 Euros after the end of the 2nd semester from the start date
