Business Initiative Subsidy Programme for new entrepreneurs in the Regional Unit of Evros

 

OBJECTIVE

The programme is aimed at enabling 200 unemployed people aged 18+, registered in DYPA’s Digital Register in the Regional Unit of Evros, to start their own business.

 

BENEFICIARIES

Unemployed people registered in DYPA’s Digital Register in the Regional Unit of Evros, who, at the time of applying for the programme/subsidy:

  • are aged 18+
  • have agreed to a Digital Individual Action Plan
  • intend to start a business in the Regional Unit of Evros.
  • are Greek citizens or citizens of another EU member state or Greek expatriates entitled to reside and work in Greece or third-country nationals holding a valid residence permit for at least the duration of the programme.
  • have completed their military service or are legally exempt from it (for male applicants)
  • have participated in a DYPA Entrepreneurship Counselling workshop.

 

DURATION

The subsidy lasts twelve (12) months. The 12-month period starts from the business activity commencement date.

 

SUBSIDY AMOUNT

The subsidy amounts to €14,800, to be granted in three installments:

  • 1st installment, amounting to €4,000, after the business activity commencement date
  • 2nd installment, amounting to €5,400, after the end of the 1st semester from the commencement date
  • 3rd installment, amounting to €5,400, after the end of the 2nd semester from the commencement date

 

STATE AID STATUS

The subsidy is a de minimis aid granted under the (EU) General de minimis regulation 2023/2831.

PROCEDURE

Potential beneficiaries must submit an online application for the programme/subsidy, including their business plan proposal, in the Public Administration Single Digital Portal gov.gr:

Applications and business plan proposals are evaluated comparatively and pre-approved by DYPA evaluators/staff.

Within 60 days from the pre-approval of the programme/subsidy application, prospective beneficiaries shall start their business activity and submit an additional application including their business information in the Public Administration Single Digital Portal gov.gr:

Finally, the Head of the relevant PES office (KPA2) shall issue the subsidy approval decision, so that the implementation of the programme can start.
